Torrey Path activities at San Diego Science Festival

Torrey Path will present “Genomes in Action” at the San Diego Science Festival on Saturday April 4th, 2009. Participants will find out how their genomes, the human genome, are used to diagnose disease and discover therapies. Mr. Jeff Milton and Dr. Sirimon O-Charoen will use real-world genomic data to explore genes and their roles in life.

Additionally, Mr. Milton will present “Enter Inner Space” in conjunction with the PDB-CAVE Calit2. PDB-CAVE is a virtual reality tour that explores everything from a Nobel prize winning model of a gene in action to the inner workings of an HIV drug. Billions of dollars in scientific data and state-of-the-art computer visualization technology come together to show atoms and molecules like never before.

Torrey Path will be presenting at Booth #545. More information about the San Diego Science Festival can be found at the website: www.sdsciencefestival.com.
